Adjustable Lead Time Auction Sniper

At JustSnipe, we allow paid members to adjust their own lead time (or buffer time). Members can adjust the bidding time* in order to match their needs and sniping strategies. Many times when eBay sellers choose to end an auction at the following minutes of the hour :00, :15, :30, :45, it creates the load to eBay servers that results in missing snipes (or the bid arrives at eBay only after an auction has already closed). This feature can reduce missing snipe incidents.

Free members cannot make any adjustment.

At JustSnipe, we allow users to set the lead time at less than 5 seconds but all users should exercise extreme caution when doing so. Setting the lead time to less than 5 seconds can result in missing snipes due to the slow response time on eBay and heavy network traffic.

Default lead times for free members may vary. Please visit the following page for details:

How to Customize Default Lead Time:

By default, lead time is set to 5 seconds for paid members. Members can change the default number from 5 seconds to other numbers and it will retain to the new set value every time when scheduling sniping. Here is how to set the lead time:

  • Sign in to your JustSnipe account.
  • Click "Set Up" on the Preference menu (red menu on the left side of the page).
  • Click "Update JustSnipe ID, Password and Personal Information".
  • Choose "Set Default Lead Time" from the menu.
  • Submit "Update" when you are done.

* Actual bidding time and leading time may vary and may contain a margin of error of +/- 2 seconds or more depending on the internal logic of the program. Leading time is for reference only.
